I have been terribly remiss as a mod, but what are your thoughts on The Hobbit news that's been offered our way so far? Good, bad, indifferent, absolutely cannot wait?

I am to be honest so incoherently eight years old excited it is sort of ridiculous (I eh, may have danced around the house. Squeeling). But I am genuinely really really happy (just need to get hold of the UK Empire Magazine somehow.

I'm cautiously optimistic so far--there's stuff I've loved, stuff I've been unsure of--but every press release seems determined to destroy the "cautious" part! I'm just hoping the film live up to the (admittedly massive) expectations!

Yep! (I can remember being so so worried about the LOTR movies and yet somehow this one...just seems determined to make me Not Worried ;). Also wow, Richard Armitage just works as Thorin).

Definitely <3. It cheered me up muchly! (Even if I do want it to be 2012 now!)

He really does. I never had a an actual image in my head for Thorin, but Armitage works surprisingly well. It's a little creepy. ;)
